The Boy's place

One of the things i love about perth is it's open skies. I am able to see so much cos there are very few tall building here and much of the landscape here is flat. This small city skyline is the only tall thing in the whole city :) the Sky is always beautiful and different everyday
(pic taken from Mill Point. click for full panaroma)

Feels great to live the student life again :) thanks to Mitchell, Vernon and Cheeky, I have been living in their living room the past week. If you were talking to me this week, this is probably where i was sitting.

Moving on to another house tmr to house sit for a month!

The time here so far has been very good. Been taking my time to get into church life here. Going to church, meeting pastors, going for cells, meeting people for meals and having time to spend with God, asking Him questions like why perth has such nice weather :) (around 20 degrees today!)

One thing i realise when i am here is how much i RUSH in Singapore. How i always need to be somewhere, doing something NOW. Able to relax more here. And can hear myself think more :) Loving the mornings as I sit and just spend time with God. No rush. No agenda. Just hanging :) Oh God, may I always give You time to speak!

This is the kitchen at their home, where i have been cooking instant noodles and eating cereal the whole week :)

Nice big BOYS fridge filled with Coke, Juice, Milk and nothing much else :)

The apartment is right beside Harbourtown www.harbourtownperth.com.au

A BAD place to if you are not prepared. I went in for 10 MINS that day to get Simon's birthday present and came out with a long sleeve polo from Esprit for $19.95. Last piece, nice color, my size. I'm thinking "Must be God!" right? But it somehow happens in every store... *beginning to wonder if it's all just a conspiracy*

Ahh :) Cheese, Milk and Crackers anyone? My lunch today.

Dairy here is really cheap :) Cheese anyone? When i come back maybe can bring some. They sell Chedder by the Kg at supermarkets. heh.

The verdict is OUT

Ok. This blog WILL have more things about my journey and thoughts etc.. BUT now, i must take time to honour the one and only Boatshed Cafe (at Mill Point.. beautful) STICKY DATE PUDDING.

The BEST ever, Peroid.

WARM, MOIST pudding, with BUTTERSCOTCH sauce and VANILLA ICE CREAM. Almost too pretty to eat, but is every bit as delicious as it looks (and more maybe..)

AND coming in 2nd place, is their strawberry cheesecake :) this one looks better than i tastes, but since you can't eat it, you can enjoy looking at it.

Now on to Corica...

The BEER Prayer

Saw this at Freo market on Sunday

For those who can't see the words, they read

Our Lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink
Thy will be drunk,
(I will be drunk),
At home as I am in the tavern
Give us this day our foamy head,
and forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us,
and lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers,
For thine is the beer,
the bitter and the lager,
Forever and ever,
Barmen.

God Bless Australia :)

And so it begins...

Ok. Finally made it! In Perth with an blank page for God to fill.

It's been a long journey to get here. From the time I felt God telling me to come, to actually sharing about it to pastor, to them and the LCEC supporting, to YC and friends supporting, to finishing everything i had to do in Singapore, to finally being able to set foot on this place again.

Now I am ready for a new adventure with Him.

This is the journal i am using (thank you Queenie!) and the words "Borron Y Cuenta Nueva" is Spanish (a language i have always wanted to learn) and mean "Wiping the slate clean".

Very appropriate as I come here to find Ian. God's Ian. The one He dreams of. The one He is longing for. The one whom He Made me to be.

There are small letters at the side that say "Divinas Palabras". Spanish also. Meaning? "Divine Words" :) Yeah. I am expecting great things.

I am wondering how it is like for everyone who writes blogs of any kind. Do I write as if people are actually going to read it? As if they are really interested in my life or what I have to say? Haha. But I guess if people DO want to know how i am etc., i am honoured. (thanks for the idea, Nic. Nice hair btw :)

Here's to findingian ...
